The days of fitting all the Troublers in a living room have long past. In order to include everyone we have switched to gathering on Zoom.
We meet as group once a month on either the 2nd or 3rd Sunday of the month. Meetings are always announced in our newsletters.
On even years we adopt a couple of candidates for the Georgia Legislature. In odd years we also adopt candidates running for Municipal Offices. Typically we focus on incumbents facing a difficult challenger or a Democrat running in a red, but flippable district. We also support candidates for statewide office and for the US Senate.
On odd years we break into work groups focused on specific issues. These workgroups have even become incubators for spin-off sister organizations, such as Fair Districts GA.
The Work Groups for 2025 are:
State Election Board and Dekalb County Board of Registration & Election
Fighting 50 - Recruiting/Supporting Dems in Every House District
Environmental Justice
Transgender Youth Support
Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy and Protection
